Ramayana: Story of a King in Exile Jigsaw Puzzle - 198 pieces

The Ramayana, authored by the sage Valmiki, is one of India's most revered epics. It narrates the life of Prince Rama, the embodiment of dharma and the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. Rama wins the hand of Princess Sita, but soon after, he is unjustly exiled to the forest for 14 years. During their exile, Sita is deceitfully kidnapped by Ravana, the ten-headed demon king of Lanka. Distraught, Rama, along with his unwavering brother Lakshmana, begins searching for her. They befriend Hanuman, the devoted general, who becomes an instrumental ally. With the aid of the monkey kingdom led by Sugriva, they locate Sita in Lanka. A great bridge, constructed by the monkey army, connects India to Lanka. An intense war ensues between Rama's forces and Ravana's demon army. Rama, with divine assistance and weapons, confronts and defeats Ravana in a climactic battle. Post-rescue, the couple returns to Ayodhya, and their homecoming is celebrated as Diwali, the festival of lights. Rama's reign, known as Rama Rajya, symbolizes a time of perfect justice and moral righteousness.

However, the Ramayana also chronicles complexities and moral dilemmas, making it a timeless tale of duty, honor, and love.

Dussehra: Victory of Good Over Evil Jigsaw Puzzle - 49 pieces

Dusshera or Vijayadashami, a festival that symbolises the victory of good over evil, is celebrated every year with traditional fervor, devotion and gaiety.

Dussehra is one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar, celebrating the victory of good over evil. It commemorates the day when Lord Rama, an incarnation of the god Vishnu, defeated the demon king Ravana.

According to the epic Ramayana, Ravana abducted Rama's beloved wife, Sita, leading to a fierce battle in Lanka. With the help of his loyal army of monkeys, led by Hanuman, and his brother Lakshmana, Rama waged a war against Ravana's forces. After a prolonged battle, it was on the tenth day that Rama, using a special arrow, vanquished Ravana. This day came to be known as Dussehra, with "Dus" indicating ten and "Hara" meaning defeat. Across India, massive effigies of Ravana, along with his kin Meghnada and Kumbhakarna, are constructed. As night falls, these effigies are filled with firecrackers and set ablaze, symbolizing the destruction of evil. The burning serves as a vivid visual reminder of the power of righteousness. For many, Dussehra also marks the end of the nine-day festival of Navratri, culminating in this grand day of celebration.
